I admit that I nabbed "shanti" from T.S. Elliot's The Waste Land. In Hinduism, "Shanti" is uttered three times at the end (and sometimes the beginning) of a prayer. It means basically the same thing in Hindi that Jained describes as its meaning in Wagaibe ... the perfect peace.

"Kuru kle ve" -- "[that's a] crock of shit".
