Raven's Children OnlineRaven's Children was a series of minicomics from 2001 to early 2004. The series went on hiatus for awhile, for various personal reasons, and the final issue in the story arc, #13, was released online in early 2005. The first 5 issues were collected in a TPB in 2002; the final 8 have been collected in another TPB in fall 2005. Several issues are online for your reading pleasure. It's interesting to watch my art and storytelling evolve as time goes by. The first issue was written/drawn in early 2000 (two years before I began drawing Kismet) and you'll see a tremendous evolution of style from the first issue (available online, below) over the intervening five years until the current story arc wraps up with #13 (also available online, see below). The individual minicomics have been collected into two trade paperbacks that can be purchased from Ester Republic Press. Issue #1 ("The Dog People")/Chapter One of TPB #1 (Note: first 7 pages are different from TPB -- they have been relettered and gray-toned, and some of the art redone.) It's fairly pivotal, storyline-wise, but I'm leaving it up as a further preview. Just be warned that you WILL find spoilers. Issue #13 ("Hunting Season")/Chapter Thirteen of TPB #2 Speaking of evil, here is the last issue, which ran online-only from late February to May, 2005. Gray tones! OMG! Warning: there is much story arc resolution happening here. Avoid if you don't like spoilers, although you CAN read the first few pages without too much spoilage. Raven's Children Short ComicsThese are short side stories that were done around the time I was working on issues 1 and 2.
